Dressing Modestly

Hello Friends, 
   I want to share with you how God has convicted me on how I dress. God has put this on my heart lately and has made me very aware of what clothing I wear. I don't usually pay attention to how low cut my shirts are, if jeans have holes in them, ect but lately God has opened my eyes.

 Within, the last few months God has shown me how I can dress modestly by wearing skirts. Skirts??!! I don't own one skirt! This, is going to be hard...very hard for me! I started out unhappy about this and feeling like what God has shown me was crazy. But, the more I look at pictures and look at the clothes in my closet I understand Him. When your heart is in the right place it wont be about you, it will be about God. So, it is important for me to show respect to the Lord, my husband as well as other people. In today's time it's hard for a woman to dress modestly and show beauty without being provocative, so I pray God will use me to lead the way for all women. 

Here are some bible verses to back me up on why I'm changing to wearing skirts (all the time!). 
     
     Deuteronomy 22:5 "The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman's garment: for all that do so are abomination unto the LORD thy God."

    1 Peter 3:3 " Let your adorning be not that outward adorning of plaiting the hair, or wearing of gold, or putting on of apparel; but let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price.”

    1 Timothy 2:9,10 "likewise also that women should adorn themselves in respectable apparel, with modesty and self-control, not with braided hair and gold or pearls or costly attire, but with what is proper for women who profess godliness—with good works."
